Millwall midfielder Scott Barron's first-half shot appeared to strike the raised hands of Town defender and skipper Peter Clarke. And Clarke was involved again after the break when a trip on Barron went unpunished by Hertfordshire referee Darren Deadman.
Asked if the Londoners should have been awarded at least one penalty, Clark said: "Possibly. Had it been down the other end I'd have been asking for it as well. But I bet there's been eight or nine times it's happened to me the other way, so as everyone keeps saying, more experienced managers than me, this luck stuff evens itself out."
Clark's free-scoring Yorkshiremen scored 82 league goals on their way to securing sixth place, but failed to find the net on home soil when it mattered for the first time since January 19.
But Clark still fancies his side's chances of progressing through to a Wembley final against either Charlton or Swindon.
He added: "I'm not disappointed with that result at all. Nil-nil is a good result. My lads played brilliantly and were the dominant team for most parts of the game.
"Down at the Den Millwall's fans will be urging their team to attack and I know that I have one of the best counter-attacking teams in the League.
"The only thing I'm disappointed about is that we didn't manage to score, because if any team deserved to score we did."
