Three first-year professionals have been offered new contracts by Huddersfield Town manager Lee Clark.Left-back Liam Ridehalgh, 18, centre-half Leigh Franks, 18, and right-sided defender/midfielder Jack Hunt, 19, all graduated from the team's academy.
Clark told the club's website: "They have progressed well and deserve an opportunity to make an impression on the first-team squad.
"But they have to be in there fighting for a place in the squad next season."
He added: "They have had their settling-in period and shown they can compete with first-team lads.
"Nothing would give me greater pleasure than the three of them being involved in the team."
The trio are yet to make their first-team debuts although Hunt has been an unused substitute on three occasions and had a two-month loan spell at Grays Athletic while Franks has been on loan at Fleetwood Town.
However, midfielder Lewis Nightingale, 19, has not been offered an extended deal.
