Home comforts for Huddersfield as they ease to victory against RotherhamHuddersfield finally enjoyed some home comforts as they eased to a 2-0 success over Rotherham in the Sky Bet Championship. The Terriers had lost their last four games at the John Smith's Stadium but there was little danger of a fifth in this Yorkshire derby as they won it through goals from Mustapha Carayol and Ismael Miller.Carayol sent in a 25-yard screamer in the first half and the game was made safe in the final 20 minutes when Miller raced clear. It gives Terriers boss David Wagner a first home success and his side some breathing space above the drop zone. The win puts them six points clear of Rotherham, who occupy a spot in the bottom three and on this evidence will be hard-pressed to climb out of it.A dire first-half showing was at least improved upon after the break and Luke Hyam hit a post late on when they were chasing the game. The Terriers were determined to put their home form right and they meant business in the opening quarter, spurning four good chances to go ahead.Carayol was inches away in the first minute when his shot was deflected, Sean Scannell and Ben Chilwell both skewed wide from good positions while Harry Bunn fizzed a free-kick just the wrong side of the post. There was little surprise when Town took the lead just after the half-hour and it was a superb strike by Carayol. The on-loan Middlesbrough man was invited to shoot and he unleashed a swerving 25-yard effort that beat Millers goalkeeper Lee Camp all ends up.It was all Huddersfield and they could have gone in two goals to the good, but Camp got down well to Bunn's low effort. It was impossible for Neil Redfearn's men to be as bad after the break and they raised their game. They should have found themselves level on the hour when Grant Ward surged into the box and cut the ball back to Joe Newell, who after making space for himself saw his shot saved by the feet of Jed Steer when he should have scored.Huddersfield weathered the storm and put the game to bed in the 73rd minute when Miller raced clear from the half way line and coolly slotted home.Rotherham almost got back in it straight away when Hyam hit the post with an open goal, but it was the hosts that could have widened their margin.Bunn fired over after working himself into a good position but it was still their night
